We recently received some fantastic feedback from one of our customers who has been using Elixinol CBD oil. With permission, we're happy & grateful to be able to share this feedback with you. This was totally unsolicited feedback from a paying customer.
This is the message we received, and the accompanying 21 day test:
"I just want to extend my heartiest thanks to Hemporium SA for existing. Without the sustenance of your CBD hemp oil over the last 21 days I would still be looking for that dark hole to crawl into.
A little about me then. My name is Morag Mackay and I live in Kenwyn in the Southern Suburbs. I was diagnosed in December last year with a rare condition called syringomyelia. Syringowhat? you are probably asking. This is when a cyst forms in the spine which, as you breath, cough and basically do the normal everyday things in life, it steadily fills up with cerebrospinal fluid. As it fills it grows – destroying the spinal cord.
There is a great deal of pain and discomfort one way or another and even though pain killers do work I was looking for a more natural remedy. I became aware of the possibilities of CBD rich hemp oil through a support group that I have joined. They are based in the states so the chances of me getting any products was slim. Or so I thought. I googeld ‘Where can i buy in Cape Town’ and found your site.
I found that while using the 100mg Elixinol tincture for 21 days I enjoyed a stress free and pain free period. It has been wonderful in fighting pain and inflammation.
I will continue to use it in the hope that I improve more. I have attached my 21 day test results and hope that you might be able to use it to promote the goodness of this product.
26 October 2015 – 15 November 2015
Day 1 – I received the CBD Oil (Tincture - drops form) in a 30ml tincture of Elixinol - Cinnamint flavour. It contains 100mg of cannabidiol extract or CBD hemp oil, there is 3.33mg CBD per ml with the 100mg. I started with ½ dropper (0.5ml) taken under the tongue twice a day which would provide me with 10mg of CBD. I was feeling really bad, I was achy, my back was sore and my balance was very bad. I took my first dose at 6PM and another dose at 11.15pm. It doesn't taste bad as long as you avoid the taste buds. I don’t feel any changes yet though.
Day 2 – After I got up I noticed that my left knee doesn't hurt which it has been doing lately. I took my third dose this morning and have continued without knee pain all day. What is missing as well is that there is no pain in my back when I am walking. My fourth dose will be tonight.
Day 3 – Its day three and still my knee and back are pain free. Resting today as I've been walking around a lot and don't want to overdo it. With not feeling any pain comes a general feeling of well-being. I’ll stay positive.
Day 4 – I am still experiencing no pain in my back while walking and my left knee doesn’t conk out when I step up or down. I think my legs are getting stronger. It doesn't seem to take me so long to find my balance before I can start walking. Last night for the first time in months I was able to walk to the bathroom unassisted. What a relief to not have to wake Dennis. Starting on day five, I will be upping my dosage to three times daily at the same strength.
Day 5 – I still have no pain in my knee and my back and am still feeling strong. As much as I would like a quick fix with no pain ever I am very happy with the results so far. I am hoping well praying really that I get feeling back in my right leg which will help me to balance better to walk. I will continue tomorrow at the higher dose of 0.5ml three times a day.
Day 6 – Although I still don't have very good balance yet I am getting more comfortable with myself. I haven't had any back pain and my knee has ached for a few minutes then stopped. For the first time in a long time I felt that the floor tile under my right foot was cold. Briefly but yes!
Day 7 – I’m still using 0.5ml three times a day with the same differences noticed. I’ve stopped my Ibuproven and Myprodol completely. It was surprisingly easy to go cold turkey and I have no regrets. I am feeling great!
Day 8 – I must say that going out and socializing and getting around inside the house during the day is becoming more enjoyable from a mobility perspective. There has been a lot of activity this past weekend with Dennis's daughter getting married. I promised her I would dance at her wedding and I did. WHOOP WHOOP! Dennis seems to be more relaxed as he senses my better vibe. I am trying to find out what % proof I am taking to see if I can increase the dosage before the 21 days are up. Almost half the bottle is gone.
Day 9 – A nice thing is that since I’ve been taking the CBD oil, if my knee hurts, the pain doesn’t last long. I definitely no longer have the pain in my back when I walk. This morning when I got up and started walking I felt as if my right foot did not drag as much. Still no feeling in my ankle though. Balance still shaky.
Day 10 – The last few months have been very difficult but the last week or so has been great. I am excited about the way I am feeling and hope I will improve more. I can still feel the tile beneath my right foot and the legs are definitely stronger. This is so exciting.
Day 11 – Still pain free and feeling great. Saturday is the Organ Donors 5km walk, taking the wheelchair just in case but I will try and walk for a while. I feel so energised to do things and walk as much as I can. Considering that this was such an effort for me recently I am very proud of myself. Walked tonight on the treadmill for 5min, the pleasure was that my right foot didn't drag.
Day 12 – Legs and back are great, I can still feel the cold floor beneath my right foot and there is still more control i.e. Very little dragging. Tomorrow will be a test day to see how far I can walk. I am still hopeful that this has not been in vain.
Day 13 – Nothing new today but after sitting for about 4 hours in the wheelchair when I got up to walk there was no stiffness and my balance was a little better.. Not feeling too anxious either apart from thinking about whether to have another operation to remove the second syrinx or not. Pain in knee and back is still gone. I can still feel the ground beneath my right foot but still not walking unaided. If this continues and there is more improvement who is to say that this essential oil doesn’t have healing powers..
Day 14 – As if the grim reaper was hanging around to remind me, today I’ve experienced a little pain in my back but it went away very quickly after I managed to sit down and rest. When pain and discomfort disappear your other senses are peaked and I must say intimacy feelings between Dennis and I are better. Still no feeling in my right leg though and balance is still not very good. It’s as if someone lifted the veil and dealing with my day has become easier. The syrinx in my back must go then maybe the continued use of the CBD will improve things.
Day 15 – I have changed my dosage to 0.6ml twice daily as I want to see how long the bottle will last. Treadmill walking is still enjoyable and doable with no foot dragging. Numbness still in my right leg though.
Day 16 – What can I say? Only that no pain ALL gain! Not a lot happening with improvements but I seem to have reached a very happy medium. Every day there is a minimal reminder but it is mostly to do with balance. Still no back or knee pain.
Day 17 – Lots of tingling in my right leg today. It was a bit distracting as I had visions of it “waking up” no such luck though. Still taking the oil at 0.6ml dosage and still no pain. This is good.
Day 18 – Not much to report today. I am getting closer to my next neurosurgeon visit to set a date for the next shunt insertion. After this operation I will really try to buy the 300mg hemp oil tincture as added strength can only give better results. I am so impressed with this pain relief and continued quality of life.
Day 19 – It’s Halloween - Trick or treat? SM is no treat only a trick. But my experience with this CBD oil is definitely a treat. I know this oil is not the cure I would like but the pain relief has been huge. This experiment is going very well.
Day 20 – I did a fair amount of walking today albeit holding onto Dennis’s hand. He said that he felt that I didn’t hang on too much. There was still no pain so I can only say that with no pain comes added strength. Tomorrow is the last day of this experiment – I am so impressed.
Day 21 - I woke up this morning and could still feel the tile under my right foot, could still walk to the bathroom without waking Dennis and could still not feel any pain when I did this. My balance is still not good though but rather no pain trying to balance rather than pain when trying to walk. I am convinced that this experiment has gone well and I will continue to use this oil.
Conclusion - Done and by no means dusted! The 21 day test is completed but not over. I decided to try this experiment after reading a post of a fellow Syringomyelia sufferer who had had great results from completing a test of his own. I wasn’t sure what I would get or how I would feel but if anything I am now pain free and confident that with ongoing use of the oil I will continue from strength to strength.
The literature on the benefits of hemp oil indicated that it could assist with pain relief and inflammation. The CBD oil is non-toxic and exhibits unique antioxidant properties without the effects of THC. This is the component that makes you see pink elephants and fly without wings. So sadly…… lol…..this did not happen but what did happen was that for the first time since my unsuccessful operation in March I have been waking up with an energy not felt in a while. I have gone from not wanting to walk because of the pain to dancing at my new step-daughter’s wedding.
This oil has not cured me and given me back feeling in my right leg well enough to balance while walking unassisted, which I didn’t think it would, but it has erased the pain and discomfort that I carried like a cloak over my shoulders. It may not work for everyone as everyone is different and different conditions respond to alternative remedies in different ways but for me this experiment has only benefitted me and I will continue the experiment as part of my daily routine."
